Bob has 30+ years of experience assisting institutions and individuals from the US and Europe in the design, implementation and monitoring of their investment and fiduciary management strategies. He is one of only a few AIFA® holders with significant international experience.  He is the only AIFA® with education and experience in cyber security. He has served on a number of Boards/Committees of non-profits in the US and Europe. BA, Virginia Military Institute, MBA IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland). John W. Whitworth, MBA, CGMA, ACMA, FCT, (British)

Treasurer, Co-founder

John has 25+ years of general management experience in the UK and the US including treasury, financial risk mitigation and global cash management responsibilities for worldwide manufacturing and marketing operations, most recently with Invensys plc a global $12b company with operations in 36 countries.  As part of his responsibilities, John worked on complex UK pension issues whilst the Group Treasurer of Unitech plc, a global manufacturing company with operations in all four continents. Based in the UK, John will focus on our relations with boards and trustees of multinational corporations outside of the US.

Edith S. Patterson, BA (American)

Secretary of the Board, Strategy and Communications

Edith has 30+ years of work with boards and committees in facilitating board development and training. She has extensive experience in assisting organizations on how best to differentiate their organization’s value added.

Edith has trained organizations in techniques to help members recognize their individual learning styles and working persona. Members gain a better understanding of  how their different strengths of  are complementary in achieving common goals. She has volunteered on committees and boards of several nonprofits including the Junior League of Washington, DC and the Central Virginia Boys and Girls Club of Virginia.

Edith is a graduate of The University of Virginia with a BA in History.

Charles F. Bryan, Ph.D.  (American)

Chairman

Charlie is a founding partner with Daniel P. Jordan of Bryan & Jordan Consulting, LLC, which specializes in strategic planning, fundraising, board and staff relations, and executive searches for nonprofit institutions and higher education.

Charlie retired in 2008 after a twenty-year career as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Virginia Historical Society; Charlie remains as its CEO Emeritus.

He served as president of the American Association for State and Local History and was president of the Independent Research Libraries

Charlie is a member of the board of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. He is a board member of the VMI Foundation and serves as the Vice Chair of the Medical College of Virginia Foundation.

Charlie is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Virginia Military Institute. He earned a Master’s Degree in history from the University of Georgia and his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee with a speciality in the American Civil War.

John Caulfield

John is an Advisor on systems engineering and intelligence operations and analysis for cybersecurity applications. Since 2018, he has been the Chief  of International Strategy, Dark Watch Inc (formerly Zero Trafficking LLC), combating human trafficking by making it difficult for traffickers to use technology and commercial entities to conduct their illicit business. He had careers as a United States Air Force officer and a Program and Line Manager for TASC Inc, Science Applications International Corporation.

John is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and the University of Arizona.

Bill Carden

Bill is the co-founder of Carden Jenning Publishing Company, Ltd. Since 1985, Bill and his co-founder have provided publishing and design services in the medical, custom, and lifestyle markets. One of the other companies of which he was a co-founder and CEO is ScholarOne, a speciality medical publishing company, which he sold to Thompson Reuters a number of years ago. Bill is a special adviser for Diogenes-fg and has been working closely with Diogenes-fg on the design and development of our Diogenes Fiduciary Compliance System™. His belief in Diogenes-fg, experience in developing a similar software for ScholarOne, and his experience in growing and selling a business, adds further credence to the timeliness of what Diogenes-fg is offering.

Bill is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Duane Gran, CISSP, CRISC, and CIPP/E

Duane has over 20 years of experience in technology and security leadership in the public and private sector. Having been a founder and executive in several firms positions him well as an advisor to organizations in the security and governance sector. He holds a bachelor’s in Computer Science from Ball State University. He serves on the Privacy Advisory Group for ISACA and volunteers as a mentor with Cyversity.

Rod Hackman

Following Rod’s military service as a line officer in the US Navy, he has focused on corporate development, capital formation, M&A, financial restructurings, and creating shareholder value as an advisor, entrepreneur, and as a member of Boards of Directors with a primary focus on Cybersecurity governance/oversight. He established and led the Cybersecurity Board oversight function for a publicly traded company.

He founded and managed two boutique corporate finance advisory firms focused on the communications and media industries. The first, Hackman, Baring & Co., was sold to PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Co-head of Communications and Media investment banking for PWC Securities for two years. Founded a second investment banking firm, Mercator Capital which provided M&A and capital formation advisory services. Mercator Capital also made direct investments through an affiliated venture capital fund. Concurrently founded and managed two special purpose acquisition corporations (SPACs) both of which successfully completed business combinations.

Roger Levy, LLM, AIFA®

Roger L. Levy, LLM, AIFA® is CEO of Cambridge Fiduciary Services, LLC which provides services aimed at reducing the fiduciary risk for institutional investment committees, investment advisors, and asset managers, through consulting advice and assessments of their conformity with a fiduciary standard of care.

Roger earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies and is a Lead Analyst for the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX). Through this affiliation, Cambridge Fiduciary Services, LLC has performed fiduciary assessments for investment advisors, pension plans, and fund administrators and has advised investment committees on fiduciary responsibility. Mr. Levy speaks at investment conferences on fiduciary issues and publishes articles on fiduciary topics. Roger was a coauthor of an Amicus Brief filed with the US Supreme Court in support of the plaintiffs in the 2015 Tibble v. Edison International case. The US Supreme Court, in their response, provided a landmark argument in holding fiduciaries accountable for their failure to continuously monitor their plans’ investments. The case was remanded to a lower court which confirmed the SCOTUS argument in 2017; the Defendants were fined an additional $5.2 million in penalties. He is the co-author with Dr. Peter Roland of Your 401K – The Danger Within, published by Amazon. In addition, he provides best practices for consulting services to law firms engaged in ERISA litigation.

Greg Osadetz, P. Eng.

Greg began his career as a registered petroleum engineer in 1978 with Imperial Oil / Exxon in Canada and then other multinational oil companies. Greg is the former CEO of a number of companies in the international power and infrastructure sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. On moving to Brazil in 2005 he established Mount Rundle Financial to provide strategic and financial consulting services to sophisticated investors with a focus on Latin America, particularly Brazil. He has lived in Brasilia, Brazil for the past eight years, where he is a permanent resident.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto School of Engineering and his MBA (with distinction) from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Bayesia S.A.S.’s subsidiary in the US, BayesiaLab US, has been a valuable resource for our work in the development of the software that supports our SaaS. Because there are no globally accepted best practices to assist enterprises in the integration of cyber risk with their overall enterprise risk management process, we turned to BayesiaLab USA for guidance early on to help us develop the underlying “secret sauce”  for CyberGov™. It is the first of its kind, ISO 37301:2021 based platform to help boards meet their fiduciary duty of care in an ever increasing and dangerous cyber world.

Boldset — Brand management and Web Portal Designer (France)

Boldset is based in Paris, France and is focused on providing innovative communication design including website development. Boldset was selected after a review of several local agencies because of their success in the international market in bringing a fresh look into traditional industries. Boldset will design and maintain all client facing software for the CyberGov™ platform.

Open Professionals Group (OPG) — Database design and management (US)

Based in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor, OPG is comprised of professionals with over 100 years of experience in the design, implementation, management and integration of systems  for a wide variety of private and public organizations. OPG will develop the underlying data management system in support of our SaaS.
